Watershed Gala
2018 and 2019
Centennial hosted an evening Watershed Gala that was open to all students as well as community members in order for them to learn about their local watershed. The Howard County Conservancy supplied the display boards and 9th grade students volunteered to share their knowledge about our watershed as well as explain their findings from the schoolyard assessment and local stream analysis. Those who participated in the interactive event were able to complete a passport with their newly gained knowledge and play a spinning wheel for prizes.

Walk and Bike to School Day
2017-2019
Centennial participated in National Walk and Bike to School day for two years. Students who participated by walking or biking to school were rewarded with a muffin, provided by our Foods and Nutriention classes, in the morning. During one of days, it came to the schools attention that students needed more bike racks at the school. We are currently registered for another Walk and Bike Day on May 8, 2019.
